Bench Top Test Chambers

We offer a complete range of Bench Top (Small Capacity) Temperature and Humidity test chamber that offer a good solution for testing small components and units . These are supplied from our extensive range of standard equipment, Our standard range include performance ranges of -40°C to +125°C or -70°C to +125°C .

Our Bench Top Temperature and Humidity chambers can be supplied with two versions of control system, either a single set point controller for long term stability tests or a Fully programmable controller for cyclic type testing. This can be further enhanced by connecting the controller to a remote PC and using the manufactures software package for chamber control and data logging, the controllers are manufactured either by Eurotherm or Watlow.

Chamber Description

  • Chamber Construction:
  • The chamber is manufactured using double walled insulated construction with argon arc welded 18 Swg. Stainless Steel SS304 interior. The chamber can be either bench top or vertical trolley mounting configuration. Fitted with full front opening double walled insulated door, provided with silicon rubber gaskets with hinges and toggle type locking arrangement.
  • Air Circulation:
  • The chamber is fitted with a fan/blower for air circulation to maintain uniform Temperature & Humidity conditions. The chamber is provided with a conditioning space consisting of the heating/cooling systems and humidity system. The conditioned air is then circulated inside the workspace to maintain the required conditions.
  • Heating System:
  • The chamber is fitted with low surface loading sealed iconel tube heaters conforming to IS 4159 to provide the chamber heating. The heaters are controlled by the micro-processor based temperature/humidity controller indicator controller/programmer through solid state relays with LED display to maintain uniform temperatures.
  • Refrigeration System:
  • A Single Stage/Two Stage cascade cooling refrigeration system working on Environmentally friendly refrigerants is fitted to allow for chamber cooling and de-humidification. The refrigeration system is fitted with an air cooled condenser designed for continuous and trouble free operation, with water cooled condenser as an option.
  • The refrigeration system consists of refrigeration compressors, expansion valve, soleniod valves, oil seperator with automatic oil return, hot gas defrost system and safety features like HP/LP cut off switches, overload protection, back up fuse protection, MCBs etc.
  • Control Instrumentation:
  • The chambers will be fitted with a microprocessor based Temperature/Humidity Indicator Controller with PT-100 sensor for dry and wet bulb will be fitted for indication and control of temperature/humidity. For single set point control of the chamber conditions, this will be of either Eurotherm or Watlow manufacture -= SS
  • OR
  • The chamber will be fitted with a microprocessor Self tune PID type dual loop Temperature/Humidity Controller/Programmer with a PT-100 sensor for dry bulb and wet bulb measurement for control and indication of temperature/humidity. This can used to program different test cycles as required by the test standards, and can be used to program cyclic type testing. The programmer/controller will be of either Eurotherm or Watlow manufcature.-= µP

  • Humidity System (Optional):
  • The chamber is fitted with a specially designed low-pressure moisture generator to generate 'Humidity on demand' and is fitted with automatic water level control. A de-humidification system is provided to maintain low humidity conditions in the chamber. A low water level control and protection system is fitted along with an audiovisual alarm to ensure the safety of the system.

 

  • Standard Accessories Fitted:
      • One Stainless Steel Bar shelf with adjustable tray supports.
      • Observation window of 200mm x 200mm on the front door.
      • Interior Inspection Lamp with switch on control panel.
      • 50mm porthole with closing Bung.
  • Safety Features Fitted:
      • Back up Fuses protection for all mains and individual circuits.
      • Over temperature safety cut off thermostat fitted with audiovisual alarm.
      • Overload protector for compressor and motor.
      • HP/LP cut off switch for compressor.
      • MCBs for heaters and humidity generator
      • Single Phase preventer is fitted to protect the test chamber from damage caused by incorrect phase rotation or loss of phases.
      • Water level controller and safety system is fitted, along with an audiovisual alarm.
  • Power Supply Requirements:
  • 415V +/-5%, 3 Phase, neutral & Earth, 50Hz AC.
  • 240V +/-5%, single phase supply, 50Hz AC, (used on the smaller Chamber sizes).
